Often called the most significant eclipse of the decade. Path crosses Southern Spain, Gibraltar, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Somalia. Greatest eclipse occurs at 10:07:50 UTC over Egypt, with totality reaching 6 minutes 23 seconds — one of the longest of the 21st century.
